Get Rid of all Your Worries, Doubts, Fear and Stress….No More!

Published by Mike OD, projectfit.org

So often we talk about health as it relates to fitness and nutrition, but could the greatest factor in our health really be our state of mind? We have heard “stress” will kill us but yet that doesn’t stop us from worrying about things. We feel helpless and say we have depression, when we don’t own anything…..we just experience it. Happiness is there for us every day to find and experience, yet most of us get caught up in things that probably won’t even matter in a week…let alone a month or year. Fear and doubt keep from from even reaching higher levels of whatever we may want to achieve in life. Time to stop. No more I say. The past is done and the only thing that matters is the steps we take right now…and every other present moment. Time for us to take control and see what is really going on. Time for some real perspective in life. Anything is possible…and the only thing holding you back is YOU.

Pull ups: 12
400M run: 1:13

Made a couple of attempts at 165# on the push press but it wasn't happenin'.

12 is way better than 0...

Feeling good about the run.

Everything is a PR since the last benchmarks were very shortly after I started crossfit.

I went to the 6 am class for some unknown reason. Oh yeah I wanted to beat Colin. But he beat me up and took my lunch money. I'll stick with the 6pm for awhile till I feel froggy again. Great max effort morning, feel bad for anyone joining this month.

Justin thanks for helping me with the markings on the weights. KG, LBS..it's so confusing, they look the same, and the colors are so pretty.
Yes Happy 4th everyone.
Take it easy this weekend Jim.

Push press - 155@
Pullups - 14 (3 more didn't count 'cause Jon is strict)
400m run - 1:31

Inspiring to see people working so hard. Bones in particular was doing max pullups with a titanium plate in his arm. Unbelievable. Bionic.

Oh Pasty, like Bruce Leroy always says... "You betta watch those European Pounds they're pretty damn heavy."

Here's a martial arts training video for the strongest woman in the gym (pssst that's you EC) http://youtube.com/watch?v=PWVhiIisH30 train hard and YOU will be the master!

I'll be in later today to do some bicep curls and cable-crossovers. See you guys soon!

Hey Monica,I got that tip from Colin when I coughed up the funds for a double grande strawberry mocha chi chino with rainbow sprinkles, lowfat milk, liquid sugar, with a touch of Joya del Dia Blend, and 1 flexi straw. Oh, and leave room...
Take that, I beat you on the pull-ups Colin

Coach's fu-fu coffee drinking legacy has clearly been passed on. Why the hell does he want to create an army of jacked ass people drinking lates anyway?!?! My god that's such a skewed method to attain world domination...

July 4, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterBruce Leroy

bruce,

coach, as well as others (ahem), look down on the latte. americanos (espresso and water) - black - are the beverage of choice. ive hit a good percentage of my pr's with that......

pasty,

you are also out of control.

Come-on, is coffee or a hoity-toity espresso PALEO approved? I think your busted by the paleo police EC.
Did Power cleans today @ the firehouse.

well, i don't think paleo-man enjoyed a lot of espresso in his day.... BUT coffee is gluten free, and virtually no sugar. i think espresso is better over drip coffee... due to higher antioxidants.... but im a little weak on that one. also per typical SERVING (1-2 oz espresso vs. 8 oz drip coffee) there is less caffeine.... less work for the adrenals.

i have a disdain for pastuerized dairy (i.e., lattes) for several reasons including environmental effects from large-dairy farming operations, as well as human health effects (decreased milk quality from 1) grain feed; 2) hormones; and 3) destructive process of pasteurization). loren cordain's got some interesting research on dairy and promoting EGF (external growth factors) as well, linked to a whole host of issues.... i can direct you to more reading, if you are so inclined.
